It's in a function in a script that is called from another function in
the same script, which in turn is called from the same script. No GUI,
no console.

Maybe I should mention, however, that the matrix 'beta_star' does not
exist in this particular case (but the mentioned if-check takes care of
that, which is why it's FALSE here).

In principle I could just post everything to replicate, but I don't
really think it's worth the effort on your side. Maybe I can strip it
down somewhat, then I'll post something.
