I installed from stcratch. Although it is the first time I build gretl with 
the new Kubuntu version, I think I have not problems in compiling.
I do not see any relevant error in the "./configure" or "make" output (they 
are enclosed), and the rest of features of gretl works fine: I can estimate a 
model, show graphs, ...

BTW, I cannot do it to work with the Windows snapshot too.
