Thank you, Allin. I can see that it works now !

With respect to the gamma function, I agree with Andreas in that the function 
should not have this name, but I would not change the name now as I think 
that we should not make changes that compromise backward compatibility. I 
also agree with Sven in that we should maintain the prohibition on using 
function names for variables. So, I would only change the parameter name in 
the manual example.
