In gretl CVS (and the latest Windows snapshot), you can export 
data in JMulti's ASCII .dat format (which preserves comments on 
the series and time-series information).

Is it worth trying to go the other way?  Wouldn't be difficult, 
but I'm not sure if there's a "market" for it.
