I don't want to test people's patience too far, but while we're at 
it...  Can anyone say if the "official" 1.7.1 dmg file works on 
10.5 intel?  It's on the SF gretl download page, or the same file 
is at

http://ricardo.ecn.wfu.edu/pub/gretl/gretl-1.7.1.dmg

There was previously an issue with the fftw dylib being a PPC 
build.  That should be fixed now but there might be other issues, 
since this was build on 10.4.
