[Gretl-users] Portable GRETL?

I'm not at all sure.  The way I use the stick is to
carry my lecture/grade/hw materials back  and
forth from home/school/smart-class-room.  And
when I save files, I use the network drives.

The advantage for me, should we get a portable
GRETL, is that I don't need to wait on IT to install,
configure, fix, &etc.  I usually have to petition for
the stat room PCs, then the library machines, then the
econ lab, then student center PCs.... ugh.  And every
semester IT wipes the systems and I have to
re-petition...

The nice thing about carrying Mozilla is that I don't
leave cookies on anyone's machines, just my stick.
Plus I have my personal links on the stick.

I suspect the same thing could be accomplished by
reformatting the stick as a small linux machine and
put GRETL on that....

w/r/t read+write, I've not reached a slowing point yet,
and I usually either upgrade or lose my flash before
that then :-(
