Yes. I'll try following this up. It's tricky because I don't know
where in the stack of gnuplot/pango/cairo the issue lies, but I
guess the gnuplot list is the place to start.

Thanks. If I can come up with a good test rig maybe I'll ask
people to try generating some PNGs on Windows.
